Roof Repairs in San Diego, CA

Here are some signs it’s time to schedule an emergency repair service in San Diego.

Leaky Roofs

Leaks require prompt action because water leaks can damage everything inside your home. Leaving leaks unattended will only make damages worse. This means you’ll spend more money replacing damaged materials than if you’d have called in an emergency service.

Signs of potential water damage include:

• Water spots on your walls or ceiling
• Cracked or missing shingles
• Damaged or missing flashing
• Wet decking

San Diego County Roofing & Solar will fix a leaking roof in timely fashion. We understand the dangers of leaving these matters unattended. If you notice any signs of a leak, contact our roofing company immediately to have it fixed.

Presence of Mold

Mold is destructive to property, not to mention it can cause health problems. If you have mold growing in your attic, it’s very likely there’s trapped moisture. Our San Diego roof repair company takes such issues very seriously to keep our clients safe.

Sagging Roof

This is a recipe for disaster. There are many reasons the top of your house could be sagging. For example, perhaps it’s too old. Or, there is something weighing it down like snow or water.

If you notice your roof sagging, give our professional team a call. We’ll get to the root of the problem and fix any leaks or lingering repairs. If roof replacement is necessary, we’ll let you know. However, we only recommend this service if it’s absolutely necessary.

We provide essential maintenance to all customers!

To prevent damage and lower the cost of a repair, reach out to roofing specialists annually for a roof inspection. This will help prevent roof damage like a cracked structure.

Don’t risk the damage getting worse. Get in touch with us for a free estimate. We’ll calculate the roof repair cost for your residential or commercial roofing needs.

Missing Shingles

Missing shingles can lead to either a roof repair or a complete installation.

Let our team of San Diego, CA specialists help you decide the best course of action. We’ll never recommend a full-roof replacement unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Damaged Flashing

Roof flashing is the thin, flat material that’s used to prevent water from entering your property. It goes underneath the shingles and redirects water to a different location.

Our roofing specialists in San Diego County have the expertise to repair damaged flashing and help avoid leaks, tile roof repair, among other roof issues.

We couldn't be happier with the job that San Diego County Roofing just did at our house. We needed to have the shingle roof on our house replaced. We initially got several bids. Dylan did the bid for this company. The bids from the different companies all came in at nearly identical prices, and we were impressed that San Diego County Roofing seemed like a serious company who would do a good job. Dylan was great: he was very thorough, and he seemed honest (and never tried to get me to buy anything I didn't need). He was also very professional and easy to reach. When it came time for the actual job, Edgar was the foreman. He was excellent: professional and attentive, and a pleasure to work with. He made clear that a top priority was to make sure that we were satisfied with all aspects of the job. The team at our house worked quickly, and the new roof looks great. In summary, Dylan and Edgar were both exceptional, and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have similar work done.

I had a leak around my skylight. I got several quotes and all of them were pretty much the same, and very expensive solutions. I then called SDCR and talked to Troy. Troy came to my home and spent quite some time surveying the roof and felt he knew what the problem was. Troy gave me a couple of options. They found the problem repaired it and I saved a lot of money. Cheers!!!

We got 4 estimates to "Lift and Relay" the tiles on our roof. One roofer said our concrete tiles were near the end of their useful life, while all the other roofers contradicted that. Of the estimates Troy's (the co-owner) was the best. He updated me throughout the process, and when he didn't, he apologized. Not a big deal, they were minor items. The crew arrived on time, were polite and professional. One thing we really liked is that they cleaned up everyday when they were done. We really appreciated this, since we have 3 dogs who like to wander around in our backyard. They answered all my questions, finished as scheduled and repainted the replaced wood. The amount of wood that needed replacement was minimal, and they could have charged a lot more, and we wouldn't have known if it was needed or not. Overall, I'd say they are an honest, reliable roofing company. I wanted to wait until after it rained to see if there were any obvious roof problems before submitting this review, well it has rained, and to the untrained eye, everything looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to use San Diego County Roofing again, and I highly recommend them. Thanks Troy and Edgar for a job well done.

Not knowing a lot about roofing, I did a lot of research. There are many stories about being taken advantage of, but it is still difficult to be sure. I came down to four companies from whom to get estimates, based on their websites, reviews, and telephone discussions. We had a tile roof that was 30 years old. I couldn't see how tile could deteriorate much in 100 years, let alone 30. I learned from the research, however, that it wasn't the tile, but what lay beneath. I gave the four my requirements: proven technology, no leaks, met code, able to accommodate a solar system, and work with the solar installation team. Of the four, one came back with an estimate to replace everything, including the tile (I didn't believe I needed to replace that, and it cost about $2,000 more). The others came back with a "lift and re-lay," replace the underlayment, and other work as needed. One proposed a new technology. Since I am trained in some of the relevant technologies, I called the manufacturer and asked some very technical questions, which they answered honestly (to their credit) – I ended up not choosing that bidder. Of the other two, one just offered a cursory estimate. He was late for his appointment – and, after two hours, called to reschedule. Nearing the time of his appointment again, he called and said that because of rain he did not feel safe getting on the roof. I rejected his bid based on his commitment to keeping schedules, his lack of transparency, and customer engagement. The first to respond was San Diego County Roofing (so, everyone else was compared to them, luckily). Dylon, the estimator, was courteous, paid attention to detail, and answered all my questions fully. He went through the attic to check to see if everything was up to code. Dylon got up on the roof to check for potential problems. One such was our chimney. It turns out the code had changed and he had to add in a small charge for a different flashing to accommodate. I asked about working with a solar company. The solar company wanted to take measurements, mark out the panel installation, and have the roofer install stanchions and their flashing, part way through the roofing project. Dylon said no problem. He said that they would also install more, smaller vents (turned out to be very cheap). Dylon was very knowledgeable, took the time necessary for a good estimate, provided a detailed proposal, and, best of all, listened to my requirements and concerns. The virus pandemic occurred about the time we were going to start. The solar people had asked to postpone for a month. SD County Roofing was able to accommodate that request and was more than happy to coordinate directly with the solar company. During the installation, all the workers on the installation team were friendly, courteous, and very respectful of virus precautions. It went quickly and according to the schedule laid out in the proposal. They lifted the tile, checked for rot on wood sheathing and fascia, installed a sheet metal cricket for the chimney to meet code, and installed new low visibility ember resistant vents. They then paused to allow the solar company to make their measurements and deliver the stanchions and flashing. SD County Roofing then installed the stanchions, flashing, and re-laid the tile roof – with extra-long nails to ensure the solar team did not cause the tiles to move during their installation. The team was fast, efficient, and a pleasure to have around. It has only been a month since the installation, but I will report back should any concerns arise. I highly recommend San Diego County Roofing – they were knowledgeable, transparent, willing to answer questions and provide detailed answers, courteous, and took good virus precautions.

Couldn't be happier with choosing SD county roofing. We got quotes from 4 companies and while this wasn't the cheapest quote, it was by far the most professional and considerate of them all. That led us to select Troy, Edgar and Dylan's company for our historic home's roof. What started as a small inquiry into the state of our roof as I suspected we may have a leak, turned into a massive job completely repairing about 1/3 of our roofing frame. It's never fun to get a quote on a project only to tear off the existing roof and see your sub roof completely rotted and useless....BUT Edgar and Troy (owners of the company) walked us through everything that was wrong and worked out some options for us to fix things the right way while keeping costs manageable. These things were not noticeable without pulling the roof off, so keep that in mind as you embark on this journey. The crews used with very friendly, courteous, and respectful of our property. We had a couple of accidents cause a broken window (not due to negligence, just a crazy piece of wood with a mind of it's own) but the guys helped us get the window fixed without any added cost to us. Great company, great work (the roof looks outstanding), great quality. Trust these guys, they won't rip you off or let you down...which is a serious risk in this industry.

Improper Attic Ventilation

Our roofing company understands the importance of excellent ventilation, especially during hot seasons like summer. Improper attic ventilation shortens roof lifespan, makes AC units work harder than necessary, can lead to mold issues, among other problems.

When excess heat builds up, the topmost parts of your house will prematurely fail due to the dried shingle(s) that eventually lead to loose granules. Fortunately, our services cover improper ventilation.

Rotting Decking

Rotting decking is not only unsightly, but it could easily lead to a roof replacement if not repaired early enough.

San Diego repair companies like ours help prevent this through regular inspections. If you notice moisture or wood rot, give us a call before matters get worse.
